Coping with Uncertainty: A Therapy Group for Building Resilience
In times of stress, anxiety, and uncertainty, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Coping with Uncertainty is a structured, skills-based therapy group designed to help you not only manage these challenges but also build lasting resilience. Through a blend of evidence-based techniques, participants will learn how to reset personal needs and boundaries, reassess what truly supports them, and develop strategies to navigate hardship with greater confidence and ease.
This group focuses on both cognitive (“top-down”) and body-based (“bottom-up”) interventions, teaching practical exercises that soothe distress, calm the nervous system, and strengthen emotional regulation. While current challenges will be acknowledged, this is not just a processing group—it is an experiential space where participants actively engage with tools and strategies that foster balance, stability, and growth.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Sensorimotor, EMDR, Grief Work, Mindfulness and more participants will leave with a diverse set of techniques designed to reduce emotional, physical, and cognitive distress. Facilitating Healing in the Traumatized Individual: Safety and Stabilization Work with Adults, Angela Belleville, LMHC; Approved for 3 CEs
This course is intended for clinicians looking to enhance or refresh their knowledge of trauma-informed approach and best practices when working with adults with PTSD. This workshop will explore the impact of trauma and various elements that can hinder or help facilitate healing and recovery. Areas explored will include the role of the therapeutic relationship, clinician competence areas, boundaries and attachment, screening tools, safety and treatment planning, psychoeducation, and various “Bottom-up” and “Top-Down” trauma-informed clinical strategies that support healing and resilience. Considerations for complex trauma and Complex PTSD will be explored at the end of the workshop along with a review of the main components of “Gold Standard” Treatments for PTSD.
